Aug 3, 2021
1hr 5 min
Greg Poole joins Aron today to talk about the differences and the crossovers of tournament archery shooting and "for-fun" archery shoots. Between TAC (Total Archery Challenge), Mountain Archery Fest, and multiple other local and nation wide events, there has been a boom in "for-fun" archery shoots, all the while archery tournaments have seen their numbers dwindle. Aron and Greg discuss what is the driving force behind this and how people in the archery space can continue to grow both and have people go to both, while still having fun.
Greg has competed in archery, professionally, for many years. Additionally, he has also worked for, and continue to work for, some of the biggest manufacturing companies in the archery industry.
Greg also runs BowJunky.com and the Bow Junky Podcast, both of which have tons of amazing content and information, go check them out!

Evan Hafer (Black Rifle Coffee Company)

1hr 7 min
Recently Evan and his company were profiled in a New York Times article, which was penned to show Evan in a light that was counter to what he actually supports. Because of the dishonest way Evan was portrayed in the article a huge amount of blacklash was thrown his way. Aron, Frank, and Evan dispel all the rumors and hearsay in this episode.
Evan Hafer is the founder and CEO of Black Rifle Coffee Company. America's leading Veteran-owned and operated premium, small-batch coffee roastery.
Evan started Black Rifle Coffee Company to provide a high-quality coffee to the pro-American and Veteran communities.
Between deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, Evan was working to refine both his coffee roasting and his firearms skills. He has spent over a decade researching coffee, refining his roast profiles, and (of course) drinking what he roasts. Black Rifle Coffee Company is quite literally the combination of his two favorite passions. Evan takes pride in the coffee he roasts, the veterans he employs, and the causes he supports.

Eddie Gallagher
Jul 28, 2021
Jul 28, 2021
1hr 40 min
Eddie Gallagher joined the Navy at age 19. All he wanted to do was fight for his country and become a United States Navy SEAL. For almost 20 years, he did both (15 of those years in the SEAL Teams), earning a stellar reputation along the way. Eddie deployed 8 times, including to war zones in Africa, Iraq, and Afghanistan. In 2014, Chief Gallagher was named the Sailor of the Quarter and then Sailor of the Year for NSW Group One (all West coast-based SEALs). During his career, Eddie was awarded 2 Bronze Stars with V for Valor, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Presidential Unit Citation, 2 Navy Commendation Medals, 3 Navy and Marine Corp Achievement Medals—1 with V for Valor and 5 Good Conduct Awards.
On September 11, 2018, Chief (SEAL) Eddie Gallagher was suddenly arrested at the medical facility where he was receiving treatment for traumatic brain injuries. He was taken to a military brig and held in solitary confinement without being told what he had been arrested for or how long he would be there.
Eddie would spend nine months in prison largely being denied medical treatment, access to legal counsel, and regular visits. His family was terrorized by the government while the press vilified him as a monster. Even after a jury of his peers found him innocent of murdering an ISIS fighter, there still exists a perception that Chief Gallagher got away with murder and was pardoned by President Trump. Neither are true.

Field Ethos JournalWe’re outdoor adventure seekers with hunting, fishing, travel and conservation at the center of our DNA. For too long mainstream media and corporations have defined the narratives of time in the field. Our Journal is changing that. We’re giving a voice to you: the nomads, sojourners, and the searchers. By delivering content from contributors worldwide, Field Ethos will tell the stories of the adventure minded – whether that’s travel to remote corners of the world or a trip to the woods outside of town.
Through rich content across platforms in print, online, film, social media and conversations on the Field Ethos podcast, we’re making you, our audience, the story tellers.
This is Field Ethos.
Donald Trump Jr.Founder
Most people see me as a businessman, a figure in the political world and a family man. While I certainly love all of these things I also felt the need to work on a passion project in the world of hunting, fishing and adventure.
Myself along with several friends launched Field Ethos Journal as a small business dedicated to telling the stories of time in the field. Our brand focuses on the things that truly matter to us: the places we go, the people we meet, the cultures we experience, the adventures that lie in wait for anyone willing to take a step into the unknown and the global successes of conservation that preserve all of these things for generations to come.
I hope you’ll follow along and even take part in what we’re doing. Life’s greatest adventures are ahead of us all.
