A special edition of the Kifarucast this week. Aron and Frank are joined by Clint Whiting, Cullen, and Rob Patuto to discuss a recent article/podcast featuring Matt Rinella. Matt is the brother of Steven Rinella a famous outdoorsman and hunter, and recently was featured on Blood Origins podcast episode 144. He also authored an article that was shortly published on Free Range American after being taking down and re-published on Mountain Pursuit. In this article and on the podcast he talks in extent about why he thinks hunter recruitment and retention is a bad thing. That sparked this discussion, we encourage you to listen to both in full before commenting or coming to a conclusion.

I just listened to both this Episode and the Blood Origins Episode and Matt Rinella definitely got the short end of the stick when it comes to brains in his family...I can’t understand why Steve hasn’t choked this Karen out yet..

I have two questions. 1) Do you think that Matt R.’s interview follows the idea of “bad publicity is good publicity” because it got other people to talk about it (this podcast for example)? 2) Are more people showing up to hunt the same area’s due to the decrease in available areas to hunt, i.e. public land areas being closed off, loss of quality habitat due to droughts, floods, fire. Here in Arkansas we’ve lost a lot of quality public land to timber harvest.

Joe rogan is not a ”good” hunter he‘s had somebody holding his hand on every hunt, he‘s a good shooter but overall he‘s a plus for hunting.
